THE COLLECTION

Dress Code has an extensive collection of long evening, prom, ball, bridesmaids and cocktail dresses available to suit all occasions.

The collection changes twice every year to ensure up-to-date dresses are bought from designer’s Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections.

Designer names such as Ben de Lisi, Bernshaw, Carmen Dee, Consortium, Crystal Breeze, Gina Bacconi, Marcelane and MoriLee appear amongst the collection.

Dress Code can offer specifically designed boleros, long sleeved wraps, pashminas and stoles for those who prefer to cover the tops of their arms and also to install confidence for those first few minutes of walking into a crowded room.

 

SIZES

Dress Code stocks sizes 8-24 and for people Who are anything from 4ft to over 6ft.

There is a huge variety of styles available to suit all tastes and shapes.

If any alterations are needed to ensure a dress fits perfectly then our talented seamstress can do this in time for your event.

 

HIRING

Hiring is an excellent way of being able to afford to wear a top designer dress worth up to £800 for a fraction of the cost of buying it.

 

Prices:
The cost of hiring a dress is from £85 - £95. We also take a refundable deposit of £100 for any unexpected damage that may occur to the dress.

Collecting and Returning:
All dresses can be collected at least one day before to allow for time to match it with accessories and they tend to be returned the day after the event. We can be flexible however if your event is further away or if you are taking the dress abroad.

Appointments:
Consultations are made my appointment only so as to ensure a personalised service. Out of hours and weekend appointments are available.

If you are interested in hiring a dress then it is advisable to book an appointment in advance to ensure that the dress you want will still be available for your particular date. If any alterations are needed then we also need a couple of days in which to organise this. Groups are most welcome.

It is our policy that no style of dress hired from Dress Code will be hired to anyone else attending the same event. We have a high tech database system that will ensure that this does not happen even during the very busy periods!

 

BUYING

Dress can be bought straight off the rails either as brand new dresses or ex hire dresses. The prices vary from £50 for an ex hire dress to £145 - £250 new.

Working from a our country house means that our overheads are not as high as that of high street shops. As a result we are able to reflect this in the prices of our dresses and you will find that we are substantially cheaper than the high street, which is obviously greatly appreciated by all our clients.

If you hire it and love it then you can buy it! If you find that straight after wearing the dress you’ve so enjoyed wearing it and it has had the impact you were looking for, then we will take the hire price off the cost of the dress for you.

 

ACCESSORIES

As part of the bespoke service, we can give advice and tips on accessories to suit your dress.  We have an extensive range of evening jewellery and bags, boleros, pashminas and wraps for purchase or hire.

UNDERWEAR

 

At Dress Code we stock ByWishes underwear, which are specifically designed to enhance and uplift whilst offering comfort and security under evening dresses. From backless to strapless dresses we can solve any bra issues! And if you want to copy the J-Lo look then give the seam-free boxer shorts a try – you won’t be disappointed!

As with our dresses, any ByWishes products are sold at low prices and can be ordered in time to be collected with your dress.

 

SALES

Dress Code sales will be in March and November each year to ensure room for the new seasons collection.  This will give you the opportunity to buy a top designer dress at dramatically slashed prices from ex-hire to new, from as little as £50.
